central location, opportunity for cultural exploration, rooftop vibe
Improve the entrance for a more welcoming first impression!!! It’s disheartening to deal with broken elevators while having to climb seven flights of stairs. A humid, windowless room feels stifling, limiting relaxation!!!

I feasted on ridiculously good hamburgers at nearby places like Beanos and Oldish—seriously, don’t miss their epic flavors! Plus, the rooftop terrace vibe was perfect for unwinding with the fam, and the staff were super helpful in planning our excursions, making our trip effortless.
Now, for a cheeky critique, the bathroom setup is quite personal with just a glass wall separating it, which is not ideal for privacy. Also, breakfast only runs from 8:30 to 10:30, but who cares when falafel sandwiches are just around the corner at 7 EGP! Plus, don't count on reliable WiFi. think of it as merely symbolic.

The staff at Castle in Cairo were incredibly accommodating. Farah and the two Youssefs went above and beyond, especially when I needed to extend my stay at the last minute. The hotel is conveniently located just a few blocks from Tahrir Square, making it easy to explore. My Double Room with Private Bathroom was comfortable, and I appreciated the elevator access to the 7th floor. Breakfast on the rooftop had generous portions with a beautiful view of the city. I had some minor issues. certain rooms lacked transparent glass windowpanes, making the rooms a bit dark if you wanted to run the AC and let in natural light. Additionally, there was only one bathroom mirror, which wasn’t very clean. Despite the small inconveniences, the value for money and service made it a worthwhile stay.

The hotel’s rooftop terrace was a perfect spot for breakfast, with generous portions and a great view of the bustling city below.
Finding the hotel was tricky since the entrance is not well marked, and Google Maps sometimes struggles with the location being on the 7th floor.

10/10
Rooftop’s a real gem, perfect for sippin’ coffee. Fadi was just the kindest, helpin’ us set up our trips. They even surprised my son with a birthday cake—sweet folks! The room was nice enough, but that shared bathroom set-up could feel a bit awkward. Didn’t bother us too much, though.

I loved the rooftop breakfast views and the comfy vibe it had. The laundry service was quick and efficient, but I wished the room had better natural light. I'd definitely stay again!
